The Kennewick Irrigation District field crew will turn off water to perform repairs on the main line at the intersection of Metaline and Volland Tuesday morning, September 2, at 8:00 a.m.
Repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday with full operation available by Wednesday morning at the latest.
This closure will affect LID 57.

The Kennewick Irrigation District field crew will turn off the Division 4 canal to perform repairs on the section of the canal between Columbia Center Blvd. and Kellogg Monday morning, August 11, at 7:00 a.m.
Repairs are expected to be completed and the canal restarted by Monday afternoon with full operation available by Tuesday morning at the latest.
This closure may affect LIDs 183, 181, 172, 162, 147, 145, 130, 126, 123, 99, 94, 91, 66, 64, 49, 48, 45, 44, and 37.

There are several areas in the Kennewick Irrigation District (KID) that have not petitioned the KID to accept the operation or repair for their irrigation water distribution systems connected to the KID main delivery system. These are “Private Line Areas.” In a Private Line Area, homeowners collectively decide what to do if a break occurs or if water delivery is interrupted and how to pay for those repairs and/or improvements. KID is not allowed to perform repairs in Private Line Areas. If you are in a Private Line Area you are billed for general KID Operation and Maintenance for the main delivery system only.
The KID will shut the water off at the point of distribution to a Private Line Area at a customer’s request if flooding occurs in order to avoid damage to life and property, but the KID is not authorized to perform those repairs.
If you have an interruption in your service, please check the “Water Outages” information on the home page of the KID website, www.kid.org, and see if your Private Line Area (by address or vicinity) has had a problem called in and to see what the status of that repair is.
Again, if you are in a Private Line Area, you are not charged for Operation or Maintenance of your system and the KID has no legal right to serve your system. The District is obligated to safely deliver the water to your distribution point only.
