KID Aquatic Herbicide Application Notice:
KID will apply aquatic herbicides to the entire irrigation canal and lateral system for the control of aquatic weeds and algae. The herbicide products to be used are Nautique (copper carbonate), Captain XTR (liquid copper algaecide), Copper Sulfate Crystals (copper sulfate pentahydrate), Pak27 (algaecide), Cascade (dipotassium salt of endothall), Teton (mono salt of endothall), Clearcast (Imazamox), and Argos (copper ethanolamine complex).
All herbicide applications will take place between the dates of 01/01/2018 and 12/31/2018 under the Washington State Department of Ecology Permit WAG-991002A.
Applications will be at the inlet to each canal and lateral, as well as applicable locations within the canal and lateral system. Application sites will be posted in accordance with Permit WAG-991002A. Irrigation water within the delivery system is intended for agriculture purposes only and is not intended for recreation, aquaculture, human and/or animal consumption or use.
